We were all gutted when we needed to postpone our conference this year. As we can’t meet in person at the moment we are holding a webinar to give us a chance to catch-up remotely.
A large part of the event will be the ever-popular Regional Roundup, where group representatives tell us about their successes and their issues-yet-to-be-solved. We have a limited number of spaces available for this and will give preference to those who had booked a slot for the conference, after this it will be first in first served, so get in quick! We will also give you a sneak peek of the introductory video of our series of seven initial videos on coastal processes and coastal restoration, produced as part of the Video and Workshop project.
Go to our website (https://www.coastalrestorationtrust.org.nz/…/online…/) for more information or to book go to https://2022onlineevent.lilregie.com.

Aranui School are coming down to the Waiwherowhero Stream/Port Bowen Reserve (bottom Taupata St) for a planting morning on this Monday. So experienced helpers would be appreciated by the organisers.
It’s the start of a community project being organised by Horizons and Whanganui District Council to start planting up Waiwherowhero stream (Karaka Steam) that runs below Karaka Street and the foredunes and out to sea beside what is known as Seafront Road extension
Horizons have a regional project to plant up steams and this is an important one as it harbours the only native fish population known locally.
