Date started: Dune restoration started in 2010
Purpose of group: For the past ten years, Russell Landcare Trust, in partnership with Northland Regional Council Coast Care, has been working with local residents and pupils from Russell School to restore the dunes at Oneroa Long Beach.
About the group: Russell Landcare Trust is a community-run group making a difference on the Russell Peninsula and supporting the restoration and reintroduction of native forests and birds.
