Registrations are open for our 2018 conference

Resilient Coasts, Resilient Communities

Our 2018 conference is themed Resilient Coasts, Resilient Communities and will be held in Petone on 21-23 March. We are preparing an exciting programme and have secured some excellent speakers, such as the Minister for the Environment, Eugenie Sage, and Iain Dawe from GNS Science. It is not all sitting on chairs and listening though. It also includes a day and a half of fieldtrips to stunning and interesting sites in the Wellington region.

There will be an add-on fieldtrip to the Wonderful Wairarapa after the main conference. We will leave Petone on the evening of Friday the 23rd for a two day trip to visit and learn about the sites there. This is a self-drive, self-catering event and you will be expected to arrange your own accommodation. We will however arrange car-pooling and notify accommodation providers of our plans.

Check out the draft programme and the fee schedule or go directly to the registration form. We also have a poster to advertise the event to your co-workers and community.

A late fee will be added to registrations after 6 March.

There will also be a free pre-conference course called DUNES101 on Tuesday 20 March. Come learn about dune processes, restoration and coastal plants from our expert trustees Jim Dahm and David Bergin. Register here and/or download the poster.
